     James Minchin was born on 1 March 1799.¹ He was the son of James Andrews Minchin and Phoebe Marman.² He married Elizabeth Tewlett on 15 January 1821.¹ He died circa July 1837.¹ He was buried on 20 July 1837 at Upper Swan, Western Australia, Australia^G.¹
     He was a baker and carpenter at Petersfield, Hampshire, England^G.¹ He and Elizabeth Tewlett emigrated along with their children to Swan River Settlement, Western Australia, Australia^G, arriving on 12 October 1829 on the ship Caroline (just over four months after the first settlers arrived there on the Parmelia.¹) He was a pioneer settler to the Swan River Settlement.¹

     Elizabeth Tewlett married, firstly, James Minchin, son of James Andrews Minchin and Phoebe Marman, on 15 January 1821.¹ She married, secondly, Jonathan Woolard on 7 May 1838.¹ She died in April 1862.¹
     From 15 January 1821, her married name became Minchin. She and James Minchin emigrated along with their children to Swan River Settlement, Western Australia, Australia^G, arriving on 12 October 1829 on the ship Caroline (just over four months after the first settlers arrived there on the Parmelia.¹) From 7 May 1838, her married name became Woolard.¹

     James Minchin was born on 24 June 1821.¹ He was the son of James Minchin and Elizabeth Tewlett.² He married Elizabeth Fisher, daughter of William Fisher, on 21 August 1851.¹ He died on 26 May 1901 at age 79.¹
     He emigrated with his parents to Swan River Settlement, Western Australia, Australia^G, arriving on 12 October 1829 on the ship Caroline (just over four months after the first settlers arrived there on the Parmelia.¹)

     William Fisher emigrated to Western Australia, Australia^G, arriving on 22 March 1843 on the ship Success.¹

     Elizabeth Fisher is the daughter of William Fisher.² She married James Minchin, son of James Minchin and Elizabeth Tewlett, on 21 August 1851.¹
     From 21 August 1851, her married name became Minchin.

     Edward William Minchin was born on 25 June 1852 at Middle Swan, Western Australia, Australia^G.¹ He was the son of James Minchin and Elizabeth Fisher.²

     Andrew Minchin was born on 27 August 1822.¹ He was the son of James Minchin and Elizabeth Tewlett.² He married Ann Haddrill, daughter of William Haddrill, on 19 December 1846.¹ He died at Victoria, Australia^G.¹
     He emigrated with his parents to Swan River Settlement, Western Australia, Australia^G, arriving on 12 October 1829 on the ship Caroline (just over four months after the first settlers arrived there on the Parmelia.¹)
