     Hon. Edward Turner Boyd Twisleton was born on 24 May 1809.¹ He was the son of Ven. Hon. Thomas James Twisleton and Anne Ashe.² He married Ellen Dwight, daughter of Hon. Edward Dwight, on 19 May 1852.¹ He died on 5 October 1874 at age 65, without issue.¹
     He was Chief Commissioner of the Poor Laws of Ireland.¹ He was Chief Commissioner of the Improvement of Oxford University, public schools and Civil Service examination.¹ He was granted the rank of baron's younger son.¹

     Hon. Edward Dwight held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Massachusetts.¹

     Ellen Dwight was the daughter of Hon. Edward Dwight.² She married Hon. Edward Turner Boyd Twisleton, son of Ven. Hon. Thomas James Twisleton and Anne Ashe, on 19 May 1852.¹ She died on 17 May 1862.¹
     From 19 May 1852, her married name became Twisleton.¹
