Sophia Wodehouse

     Sophia Wodehouse was the daughter of Sir John Wodehouse, 4th Bt. and Mary Fermor.1 She married Sir Charles Mordaunt, 6th Bt., son of Sir John Mordaunt, 5th Bt. and Penelope Warburton, on 7 July 1730. She died in April 1738.
     Her married name became Mordaunt.

     Sir John Wodehouse, 4th Bt. was born on 23 March 1669.1 He was the son of Sir Thomas Wodehouse and Anne Armyne.1 He married, secondly, Mary Fermor, daughter of William Fermor, 1st Baron Leominster and Hon. Catherine Poulett.1 He married, firstly, Elizabeth Benson, daughter of Robert Benson and Dorothy Jenkins, circa 17 June 1700.1 He died on 6 August 1754 at age 85.1
     He succeeded as the 4th Baronet Wodehouse, of Kimberley, co. Norfolk [E., 1611] on 6 May 1681.1 He held the office of Recorder of Thetford.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Norfolk.1

Dorothy Conyers1

     Dorothy Conyers was the daughter of John Conyers. She married Sir Charles Mordaunt, 6th Bt., son of Sir John Mordaunt, 5th Bt. and Penelope Warburton, on 1 December 1720. She died in March 1725/26.2
     Her married name became Mordaunt.

     John Conyers was born on 6 March 1650.2 He was the son of Tristram Conyers and Winifred Gerard.2 He and Mary Lee obtained a marriage license on 16 January 1681.2 He died on 10 March 1725 at age 75.2
     He lived at Walthamstow, Essex, EnglandG.3 He was educated between 1663 and 1665 at Merchant Taylors' School, London, England.2 He was educated in 1666 at Queen's College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England.2 He was admitted to Middle Temple in 1666.2 He was appointed King's Counsel (K.C.) circa 1693.2 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for East Grinstead between 1695 and 1708.2 He held the office of Bencher of Middle Temple in 1702.2 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for West Looe between 1708 and 1710.2 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for East Grinstead between 1710 and 1725.2

     Captain Evan Llewellyn Gibbs was born on 17 May 1906.1 He was the son of Major Antony Hubert Gibbs and Mary Mercy Llewellyn.1 He married Monica Elizabeth Wyldbore-Smith, daughter of Sir Edmund Charles Wyldbore-Smith and Evadne Maude Kellett, on 28 April 1930.1 He died on 1 June 1940 at age 34 at Dunkirk, FranceG, killed in action.1
     He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, EnglandG.1 He was educated at Royal Military College, Sandhurst, Berkshire, EnglandG.1 He was registered as a Member, London Stock Exchange.1 He fought in the Second World War. Captain.1

     Monica Elizabeth Wyldbore-Smith was the daughter of Sir Edmund Charles Wyldbore-Smith and Evadne Maude Kellett.1,2 She married, firstly, Captain Evan Llewellyn Gibbs, son of Major Antony Hubert Gibbs and Mary Mercy Llewellyn, on 28 April 1930.1 She married, secondly, Lt.-Col. Walter Pearce-Serocold, son of Colonel Oswald Pearce-Serocold, on 24 October 1957.1 She died on 8 July 1973.2
     From 28 April 1930, her married name became Gibbs. From 24 October 1957, her married name became Pearce-Serocold.

     Sir Edmund Charles Wyldbore-Smith was born on 15 January 1877.2 He was the son of Reverend Francis Alfred Smith and Elinor Mary Frances King.2 He married Evadne Maude Kellett, daughter of John Talbot Kellett and Letitia Emilie Lyster Robinson, on 14 October 1901.2 He died on 18 October 1938 at age 61.2
