     William Edward Nightingale was born in 1794.2 He was the son of William Shore.2 He married Frances Smith, daughter of William Smith and Frances Coape, on 1 June 1818.2 He died in 1874.2
     He lived at Embly, Hampshire, EnglandG.1 He lived at Lea Hurst, Derbyshire, EnglandG.1 He was given the name of William Edward Shore at birth.2 On 21 February 1815 his name was legally changed to William Edward Nightingale by royal sign-manual.2
