Ellis Hicks-Beach was born on 22 April 1874.2 He was the son of William Frederick Hicks-Beach and Elizabeth Caroline Tyrwhitt-Drake.2,3 He married Nancy Whitehead, daughter of Spencer Whitehead, on 24 September 1903 at Kingston-on-Thames, Surrey, England.4,2 He died on 27 September 1943 at age 69.2
