Edward Watson, 2nd Baron Rockingham was born on 30 June 1630.1 He was the son of Lewis Watson, 1st Baron Rockingham and Eleanor Manners.2 He married Lady Anne Wentworth, daughter of Thomas Wentworth, 1st Earl of Strafford and Lady Arabella Holles, in 1654.3 He died on 22 June 1689 at age 58.1
He succeeded as the 2nd Baronet Watson, of Rockingham Castle, co. Northampton [E., 1621] on 12 January 1653. He succeeded as the 2nd Baron Rockingham [E., 1645] on 12 January 1653.
