Catherine Cokayne was born on 5 January 1687/88.1 She was the daughter of Charles Cokayne, 3rd Viscount Cullen and Katherine Willoughby.1 She married William Dowdeswell, son of Richard Dowdeswell and Elizabeth Winnington, on 13 March 1711/12.1 She died in November 1716 at age 28, leaving issue.1
     From 13 March 1711/12, her married name became Dowdeswell.1
