     Reverend Samuel Alexander was born on 12 April 1808.¹ He was the son of John Alexander and Hannah Richardson Murray.¹ He married Charlotte Frances Beresford, daughter of Reverend Charles Cobbe Beresford and Amelia Montgomery, on 4 November 1839.¹ He died on 3 June 1889 at age 81.¹
     Samuel graduated from Trinity College, Dublin, County Dublin, Ireland^G, in 1830 with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.), with his brother Adam.¹ Samuel graduated from Trinity College, Dublin, County Dublin, Ireland^G, in 1834 with a Master of Arts (M.A.), with his brother Adam.¹ He lived at Termon, Carrickmore, County Tyrone, Ireland^G, jure uxoris.¹ He was the Curate.¹ He was the Rector between 1851 and 1856 at Termonmaguirke, County Tyrone, Ireland^G.¹

     John Barré Beresford was born on 19 October 1815.² He was the son of Henry Barré Beresford and Eliza Baily.^2,1 He married, firstly, Sophia Lyons-Montgomery, daughter of Hugh Lyons-Montgomery and Eliza Blacker, on 23 April 1840.² He married, secondly, Caroline Hamilton Ash, daughter of William Hamilton Ash and Lady Elizabeth Emma Douglas, on 7 July 1853.² He died on 30 August 1895 at age 79.¹
     He graduated from Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England, with a Master of Arts (M.A.)² He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.)¹ He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.)¹ He lived at Learmount Park, County Londonderry, Ireland^G.² He lived at Learmount Castle, County Londonderry, Ireland^G.¹

     Sophia Lyons-Montgomery was born in 1819.² She was the daughter of Hugh Lyons-Montgomery and Eliza Blacker.^1,2 She married John Barré Beresford, son of Henry Barré Beresford and Eliza Baily, on 23 April 1840.¹ She died on 21 March 1850.¹
     Her married name became Beresford.

     Hugh Lyons-Montgomery was born in 1780.² He is the son of Hugh Montgomery Lyons and Hon. Catherine Hamilton.³ He married Eliza Blacker, daughter of Very Rev. Stewart Blacker and Elizabeth Hill, on 27 January 1812.¹ He was killed by a fall from his horse on 26 April 1826.¹
     He lived at Belhavel, County Leitrim, Ireland^G.¹ He lived at Lawrencetown, County Down, Ireland^G.¹

     Caroline Hamilton Ash was born on 30 November 1830.¹ She was the daughter of William Hamilton Ash and Lady Elizabeth Emma Douglas.¹ She married John Barré Beresford, son of Henry Barré Beresford and Eliza Baily, on 7 July 1853.² She died on 13 January 1901 at age 70.¹
     From 7 July 1853, her married name became Beresford.¹

     William Hamilton Ash was born in 1803.¹ He was the son of William Hamilton Ash and Elizabeth Harriet Henderson.¹ He married Lady Elizabeth Emma Douglas, daughter of Hon. John Douglas and Lady Frances Lascelles, on 10 July 1827.¹ He died on 2 February 1867.¹
     He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.)¹ He lived at Ashbrook, County Londonderry, Ireland^G.¹

     Lady Elizabeth Emma Douglas was the daughter of Hon. John Douglas and Lady Frances Lascelles.^1,2 She married William Hamilton Ash, son of William Hamilton Ash and Elizabeth Harriet Henderson, on 10 July 1827.¹ She died on 2 February 1857.¹
     From 10 July 1827, her married name became Hamilton Ash.¹ On 28 August 1835 she was granted the rank of an earl's daughter.²

     Henry Barré Blacker Beresford was born on 4 May 1848.¹ He was the son of John Barré Beresford and Sophia Lyons-Montgomery.¹ He died on 14 February 1882 at age 33, unmarried.¹
     He gained the rank of Lieutenant in the Royal Navy.¹ He gained the rank of Captain in the Mid-Ulster Artillery.¹

     Major John Claudius Montgomery Beresford was born on 3 February 1850.¹ He was the son of John Barré Beresford and Sophia Lyons-Montgomery.¹ He married Rose Sophia Montgomery Smith, daughter of Ralph Smith and Louisa Lyons-Montgomery, on 16 January 1884.¹ He died on 19 September 1894 at age 44.¹
     He gained the rank of Major in the Royal Engineers.¹ He was Aide-de-Camp to the Lord-Lieutenant of Ireland.¹

     Rose Sophia Montgomery Smith was the daughter of Ralph Smith and Louisa Lyons-Montgomery.^1,2 She married Major John Claudius Montgomery Beresford, son of John Barré Beresford and Sophia Lyons-Montgomery, on 16 January 1884.¹ She died on 15 September 1911.¹
     Her married name became Beresford.
