Hugh Crofton was the son of Thomas Crofton and Bridget Morgan.2 He married Anne Crofton, daughter of George Crofton and Frances Crofton, on 10 August 1730.1 He died on 20 October 1767.1

Mary Susan Montgomery was born on 8 November 1838 at Allahabad, Pakistan.2 She was the daughter of Sir Robert Montgomery and Frances Mary Thomason.3,2 She was baptised on 25 April 1839 at Allahabad, Pakistan.2 She married Lt.-Col. James Crofton, son of Captain Morgan Crofton and Helen Elizabeth O'Hara, on 1 March 1858 at Lahore, Pakistan.1,2 She died on 22 December 1860 at age 22.1
