Sir Edward Crofton, 1st Bt. was born in 1624 at IrelandG.2 He was the son of George Crofton and Elizabeth Berkeley.3 He married, firstly, Mary Ware, daughter of Sir James Ware and Elizabeth Newman, on 12 October 1647.1 He and Susanna Clifford obtained a marriage license on 11 January 1661.1 He died in 1675.1
He was created 1st Baronet Crofton, of The Mote, co. Roscommon [Ireland] on 1 July 1661.1
