     Sir Frank Crisp, 1st Bt. was born on 25 October 1843.1 He was the son of John Shalders Crisp and Harriet Childs.2 He married Catherine Howes, daughter of George Durrant Howes, on 27 August 1867.1 He died on 29 April 1919 at age 75.1
     He graduated from London University, London, EnglandG, with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)1 He graduated from London University, London, EnglandG, with a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.)1 He was senior partner of Ashurst, Morris, Crisp and Company, solicitors.1 He was Honorary Secretary of the Royal Microscopical Society between 1878 and 1879.1 He was Honorary Treasurer and Vice-President of the Linnean Society of London between 1881 and 1906.1 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Oxfordshire.1 He was appointed Knight in 1907.1 He was created 1st Baronet Crisp, of Bungay, Suffolk [U.K.] on 5 February 1913.1

     He succeeded as the 2nd Baronet Crisp, of Bungay, Suffolk [U.K., 1913] on 29 April 1919.1 He lived at Friar Park, Henley-on-Thames, Oxfordshire, England.1
