Hugh 'Du' Mackay of Farr, Tongue and Strathnaver was the son of Iye 'Du' Mackay and Christian Sinclair.2 He married, firstly, Lady Margaret Sinclair, daughter of George Sinclair, 4th Earl of Caithness and Lady Elizabeth Graham.2 He married, secondly, Lady Jane Gordon, daughter of Alexander Gordon, 12th Earl of Sutherland and Lady Jean Gordon, in December 1589.2 He died on 11 September 1614.2

Thomas Miller was the son of Sir William Miller of Glenlee, 2nd Bt. and Grizel Chalmers.2 He married Edwina Cumming, daughter of Colonel Sir Alexander Penrose Cumming-Gordon of Altyre, 1st Bt. and Helen Grant, in 1814.1 He died in 1827.1
