Oliver St. John, 1st Earl of Bolingbroke, 1625 2
He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Bedfordshire in 1601.4 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Bedfordshire from 1603 to 1604.4 He was appointed Knight Bachelor on 3 June 1610.1 He succeeded as the 4th Baron Saint John of Bletso, co. Bedford [E., 1559] in September 1618.3 He held the office of Lord-Lieutenant of Huntingdonshire in 1619, jointly.3 He was created 1st Earl of Bolingbroke [England] on 28 December 1624.3 He was Member of the Assembly of the Divines between 1643 and 1646.3 He was a Commissioner of the Admiralty between 1643 and 1646.3 He was Joint Commissioner of the Great Seal between 1643 and 1646.3 He held the office of Lord-Lieutenant of Bedfordshire in February 1642/43, appointed by the Parliamentarians.3

Magdalen Hurley was the daughter of Lt.-Col. Thomas Hurley and Mary Dallas.1 She married, firstly, T. Croft before 1826.1 She married, secondly, General Henry Montagu, 6th Baron Rokeby, son of Matthew Montagu, 4th Baron Rokeby and Elizabeth Charlton, on 18 December 1826.1 She died on 7 December 1868.1
