Marion Home was the daughter of James Home and Zerobabel Haig of Bemersyde.1 She married Reverend Alexander Home, 9th Earl of Home, son of Alexander Home, 7th Earl of Home and Lady Anne Kerr.1 She died on 30 October 1763, without issue.1
After her marriage, Marion Home was styled as Countess of Home.

Patrick Hume, Lord Polwarth was born on 11 November 1664.2 He was the son of Patrick Hume, 1st Earl of Marchmont and Grizel Ker.1,2 He married, secondly, Jean Home, daughter of Charles Home, 6th Earl of Home and Anne Purvis, on 2 April 1703.2 He married, firstly, Elizabeth Hume, daughter of Sir John Hume, Bt., on 2 December 1697.2 He died on 25 November 1709 at age 45, without issue and in the lifetime of the father.2
He was styled as Lord Polwarth [Scotland] on 26 December 1690.2 He held the office of Lord High Treasurer of Scotland in 1698.2 He was appointed Privy Counsellor (P.C.) (Scotland) in 1698.2 He gained the rank of Colonel in 1707 in the Scottish Dragoons.2

Lt.-Gen. William Home, 8th Earl of Home was the son of Alexander Home, 7th Earl of Home and Lady Anne Kerr.1 He married Elizabeth Gibbons, daughter of William Gibbons, on 25 December 1742.1 He died on 28 April 1761, without issue.1
