     He was educated at Cheltenham College, Cheltenham, Gloucestershire, EnglandG.1 He gained the rank of Major in the Royal Engineers.1 He fought in the Second World War between 1940 and 1945.1 He was Chief Engineer for the Lake Copais Company between 1945 and 1950 at GreeceG.1

     Edward Winchester Tollemache Taylour was born on 1 January 1915.1 He was the son of Captain Basil Reginald Hamilton Taylour and Harriet Mary Osgood.1 He married Dorothea Gatcombe, daughter of Vernon Ruscombe Gatcombe, on 11 February 1942.1 He died on 13 September 1942 at age 27, killed in action.1
     He fought in the Second World War, where he was mentioned in despatches.1 He gained the rank of Acting Lieutenant in the Royal Navy.1 He was awarded the Distinguished Service Cross (D.S.C.) and bar.1
