     Harry Lefevre Ryder was born in 1844.1 He was the son of Reverend Henry Dudley Ryder and Eliza Julia Tucker.1 He married Frances Elizabeth Blackie, daughter of John Blackie, on 21 March 1872.1 He died on 14 June 1880, without issue, aboard H.M.S. Atalanta.1
     He gained the rank of Lieutenant in the Royal Navy.1

     From 21 March 1872, her married name became Ryder.1

     He was appointed Knight Commander, Order of the Bath (K.C.B.)1
