Margaret Hamilton was the daughter of Arthur Cecil Hamilton.1 She married Thomas George Southwell, 1st Viscount Southwell of Castle Mattress, son of Thomas Southwell, 2nd Baron Southwell of Castle Mattress and Mary Coke, on 18 June 1741.1 She died on 18 July 1802.1
From 18 June 1741, her married name became Southwell.1 After her marriage, Margaret Hamilton was styled as Baroness Southwell of Castle Mattress on 19 November 1766. After her marriage, Margaret Hamilton was styled as Viscountess Southwell of Castle Mattress on 18 July 1776.
