Sir Henry Jacob Preston, 3rd Bt. was born on 15 September 1851.1 He was the son of Sir Jacob Henry Preston, 2nd Bt. and Amelia Prescott.2 He married Mary Hope Clutterbuck, daughter of Edmund Lewis Clutterbuck and Louisa Maria Spicer, on 16 December 1885.1 He died on 9 January 1897 at age 45.1
He gained the rank of Captain in the East Division, Royal Artillery.1 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.)1 He succeeded as the 3rd Baronet Preston, of Beeston St. Lawrence, Norfolk [U.K., 1815] on 19 October 1891.1
