Sir Herbert Scarisbrick Naylor-Leyland, 1st Bt.1

     Sir Herbert Scarisbrick Naylor-Leyland, 1st Bt. was born on 24 January 1864.1 He was the son of Tom Naylor-Leyland and Mary Anne Scarisbrick.2 He married Jeannie Willson Chamberlain, daughter of William Selah Chamberlain, on 5 September 1889.1 He died on 7 May 1899 at age 35.1
     He gained the rank of Captain in the 2nd Life Guards, Reserve of Officers.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Colcheste between 1892 and 1895.1 He was created 1st Baronet Naylor-Leyland, of Hyde Park House, Albert Gate, London [U.K.] on 31 August 1895.1 He was appointed Fellow, Zoological Society (F.Z.S.)1 He was appointed Fellow, Royal Agriculture Socities (F.R.Ag.S.)1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Southport between 1898 and 1899.1

     Jeannie Willson Chamberlain was the daughter of William Selah Chamberlain.2 She married Sir Herbert Scarisbrick Naylor-Leyland, 1st Bt., son of Tom Naylor-Leyland and Mary Anne Scarisbrick, on 5 September 1889.1 She died on 10 March 1932.1
     From 5 September 1889, her married name became Naylor-Leyland.

     Sir Albert Edward Herbert Naylor-Leyland, 2nd Bt. was born on 6 December 1890.1 He was the son of Sir Herbert Scarisbrick Naylor-Leyland, 1st Bt. and Jeannie Willson Chamberlain.2 He married, firstly, Marguerite de Belabre, daughter of Baron unknown de Belabre, on 10 April 1923.1 He died on 23 September 1952 at age 61.1
     He succeeded as the 2nd Baronet Naylor-Leyland, of Hyde Park House, Albert Gate, London [U.K., 1895] on 7 May 1899.1 He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, EnglandG.1 He was educated at Christ Church, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, EnglandG.1 He was Honourable Attaché to Berne and Paris.1 He held the office of High Sheriff of Denbighshire in 1921.1 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Denbighshire.1

     Marguerite de Belabre was the daughter of Baron unknown de Belabre.2 She married Sir Albert Edward Herbert Naylor-Leyland, 2nd Bt., son of Sir Herbert Scarisbrick Naylor-Leyland, 1st Bt. and Jeannie Willson Chamberlain, on 10 April 1923.1 She died on 26 January 1945.1
     From 10 April 1923, her married name became Naylor-Leyland.

     Michael Montague George Naylor-Leyland was born on 21 February 1926.1 He was the son of Sir Albert Edward Herbert Naylor-Leyland, 2nd Bt. and Marguerite de Belabre.2 He married Jacqueline Marie Françoise Floor, daughter of Major Ides Floor, on 8 April 1953.1 He died on 8 August 2012 at age 86.3
     He fought in the Second World War.1 He gained the rank of Captain in the Life Guards.1 He was awarded the Military Cross (M.C.)1 He lived in 2003 at The Red House, Lacock, Chippenham, Wiltshire, EnglandG.1
