     He was a practising barrister.1 He was Deputy Serjeant-at-Arms, House of Lords in 1916.1 He was Reading Clerk, House of Lords between 1916 and 1934.1 He was Clerk Assistant to Parliament in 1934.1

     Phyllis Taylor is the daughter of Henry Howard Taylor.1 She married, firstly, Kenneth James Muir Mackenzie, son of Sir John William Pitt Muir Mackenzie and Fanny Louisa Johnstone, on 24 July 1915.1 She married, secondly, Lt.-Cdr. William Oswald Rees Millington on 6 February 1932.1
     From 24 July 1915, her married name became Muir Mackenzie.1 From 6 February 1932, her married name became Millington.1

     Lt.-Cdr. Hamish Muir Mackenzie was born on 20 October 1917.1 He was the son of Kenneth James Muir Mackenzie and Phyllis Taylor.2 He died on 18 June 1947 at age 29, on active service following a flying accident.1
     He fought in the Second World War.1 He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Commander in the Royal Navy.1 He was awarded the Distinguished Service Cross (D.S.C.)1

George David Garforth-Bles, son of Captain George Marcus Garforth-Bles, on 28 March 1939.1 She and Lt.-Col. George David Garforth-Bles were divorced in 1947.1 She married, secondly, Lt.-Col. Gerald Owen Whyte, son of Percy Horatio Marnfred Whyte, on 22 November 1947.1 She died in 1978.1
     From 28 March 1939, her married name became Garforth-Bles. From 22 November 1947, her married name became Whyte.1
