     Ellen Thornhill was the daughter of Cudbert B. Thornhill.¹ She married James David Drummond, 8th Viscount Strathallan, son of William Henry Drummond, 7th Viscount Strathallan and Christina Maria Hersey Baird, on 11 February 1868.¹ She died on 5 June 1873.¹
     Her married name became Drummond.

     Cudbert B. Thornhill was with the Indian Civil Service.¹

     William Huntley Drummond, 15th Earl of Perth was born on 5 August 1871.¹ He was the son of James David Drummond, 8th Viscount Strathallan and Ellen Thornhill.¹ He married Anna Strauss, daughter of Jacob Strauss, in January 1911.¹ He died on 20 August 1937 at age 66, without issue.¹
     He gained the rank of Captain in the 3rd Battalion, Black Watch.¹ He succeeded as the 11th Lord Maderty [S., 1609] on 5 December 1893.¹ He succeeded as the 9th Lord Drummond of Cromlix [S., 1686] on 5 December 1893.¹ He succeeded as the 9th Viscount Strathallan [S., 1686] on 5 December 1893.¹ He succeeded as the 15th Earl of Perth [S., 1605] on 28 February 1902.¹ He succeeded as the 19th Lord Drummond [S., 1488] on 28 February 1902.¹

     Anna Strauss was the daughter of Jacob Strauss.¹ She married William Huntley Drummond, 15th Earl of Perth, son of James David Drummond, 8th Viscount Strathallan and Ellen Thornhill, in January 1911.¹ She died on 3 October 1967.¹
     After her marriage, Anna Strauss was styled as Countess of Perth in January 1911. From January 1911, her married name became Drummond.

     Jacob Strauss lived at Prague, Czech Republic^G.¹

     Lilias Ruthven is the daughter of William Ruthven, 2nd Lord Ruthven and Janet Halyburton, Lady Dirletoun.^1,2 She married David Drummond, 2nd Lord Drummond, son of Walter Drummond, Master of Drummond and Lady Elizabeth Graham, before 7 December 1543.³
     From before 7 December 1543, her married name became Drummond.

     Major Hermon Barker-Hahlo is the son of George Hahlo and Fanny Barker.^2,3 He married, firstly, Josephine Christine Crofton, daughter of Henry Thomas Crofton and Martha Pilling McKeand, on 7 September 1897.³ He married, secondly, Sheila Ginevra Hilda Mary Beauchamp, daughter of Sir Reginald William Proctor-Beauchamp, 5th Bt. and Lady Violet Charlotte Julia Maria Jocelyn, on 22 June 1909.
     He lived at La Petite Vallée, Rue de Putron, St. Martin, Guernsey, Channel Islands^G.^1,4 He lived at Foxlease Park, Lyndhurst, Hampshire, England^G.

     James Fenwick de Sales la Terrière was born on 17 April 1901.² He was the son of Frank Lewis de Sales la Terrière and Jeanie Bunten.² He married Frances Natalie Barker-Hahlo, daughter of Major Hermon Barker-Hahlo and Josephine Christine Crofton, on 17 December 1929.² He died before 1966.¹
     He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, England^G.² He was educated at Royal Military College, Sandhurst, Berkshire, England^G.² He lived at Dunalastair, Perthshire, Scotland^G.¹

     James Drummond, 1st Lord Maderty was born in 1551.¹ He was the son of David Drummond, 2nd Lord Drummond and Lilias Ruthven.¹ He married Jane Chisholm, daughter of James Chisholm, 3rd of Cromlix and Jean Drummond.² He died in September 1623.¹
