     Oonagh Evelyn Brassey is the daughter of Lt.-Col. Harold Ernest Brassey and Lady Norah Hely Hutchinson.1 She married, firstly, Lt.-Col. Hon. Michael Thomas Henderson, son of Lt.-Col. Hon. Harold Greenwood Henderson and Lady Violet Charlotte Dalzell, on 14 January 1929.1 She and Lt.-Col. Hon. Michael Thomas Henderson were divorced in 1948.1 She married, secondly, Vernon Motion on 21 December 1949.1 She and Vernon Motion were divorced in 1962.1
     Her married name became Henderson. From 21 December 1949, her married name became Motion.1 On 12 September 1961 her name was legally changed to Brassey by Deed Poll.2

Lt.-Col. Hon. Harold Greenwood Henderson1

     Lt.-Col. Hon. Harold Greenwood Henderson was born on 29 October 1875.2 He was the son of Alexander Henderson, 1st Baron Faringdon and Jane Ellen Davis.2 He married Lady Violet Charlotte Dalzell, daughter of Robert Harris Dalzell, 11th Earl of Carnwath and Emily Sulivan Hippisley, on 19 February 1901.3 He died on 1 November 1922 at age 47.2
     He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, EnglandG.2 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for North Berkshire between 1910 and 1916.2 He gained the rank of Captain and Adjutant in the 1st Life Guards.2 He fought in the First World War.2 He was Military-Secretary to the Governor-General of Canada between 1916 and 1920.2 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Berkshire.2 He was awarded the Order of the Rising Sun of Japan 2nd class.2 He gained the rank of Lieutenant in the Berkshire Yeomanry.2 He was appointed Commander, Royal Victorian Order (C.V.O.) in 1919.1

     Lady Violet Charlotte Dalzell was born in 1879. She was the daughter of Robert Harris Dalzell, 11th Earl of Carnwath and Emily Sulivan Hippisley.1 She married Lt.-Col. Hon. Harold Greenwood Henderson, son of Alexander Henderson, 1st Baron Faringdon and Jane Ellen Davis, on 19 February 1901.1 She died on 1 October 1956.2
     Her married name became Henderson.

Alexander Henderson, 1st Baron Faringdon

     Alexander Henderson, 1st Baron Faringdon was born on 28 September 1850.2 He was the son of George Henderson and Eliza Cockshott.3 He married Jane Ellen Davis, daughter of Edward William Davis, on 2 September 1874.2 He died on 17 March 1934 at age 83.2
     He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) (Liberal Unionist) for West Staffordshire between 1898 and 1906.2 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Berkshire.2 He was created 1st Baronet Henderson [U.K.] on 5 August 1902.2 He held the office of High Sheriff of Berkshire in 1912.2 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) (Liberal Unionist) for St. George's Hanover Square between 1913 and 1915.2 He was created 1st Baron Faringdon, of Buscot Park, co. Berks. [U.K.] on 24 January 1916.2 He was appointed Companion of Honour (C.H.) in 1917.2 He was appointed Knight of Grace, Most Venerable Order of the Hospital of St. John of Jerusalem (K.G.St.J.)2 He was deputy chairman of the LNER in 1934.2

     Sir John Seton of Seton was the son of Sir William de Seton and Janet Fleming.2 He married Katherine Sinclair, daughter of Sir William Sinclair of Herdmanston.2 He died circa 1434.2
     On 24 March 1410/11 he had a charter of confirmation of the territorial Baronies of Seton and Tranent, and the lands of Winchburgh.2 In 1424 he was a hostage for King James I.2

     Sir William de Seton was the son of Alan de Wyntoun and Margaret de Seton.1 He married Janet Fleming, daughter of Sir David Fleming of Biggar and Cumbernauld and Jean Barclay.1 He died circa March 1409/10.1
     He gained the title of Lord of Seton [feudal baron].1 Circa 1367 he granted the lands of Wester Fausyde to his esquire John de Fausyde.1
