Commander Charles Edward Vereker Craufurd was born on 17 July 1884.1 He was the son of Sir Charles William Frederick Craufurd, 4th Bt. and Hon. Isolda Caroline Vereker.2 He married Sonia Russell, daughter of S. Russell, on 24 November 1923.1 He died on 11 April 1947 at age 62.1
