     Robert Elphinstone, 3rd Lord Elphinstone was born on 9 September 1530.1 He was the son of Alexander Elphinstone, 2nd Lord Elphinstone and Katherine Erskine.2 He married Margaret Drummond, daughter of Sir John Drummond, 2nd of Innerpeffray and Margaret Stewart, in 1546.1 He died on 18 May 1602 at age 71.1
     He succeeded as the 3rd Lord Elphinstone [S., 1510] on 10 September 1547.1

     Alexander Elphinstone, 2nd Lord Elphinstone was born on 22 May 1510.1 He was the son of Alexander Elphinstone, 1st Lord Elphinstone and Elizabeth Barlow.2 A contract for the marriage of Alexander Elphinstone, 2nd Lord Elphinstone and Katherine Erskine was signed on 20 November 1525.1 He died on 10 September 1547 at age 37 at Pinkie Cleugh, Inveresk, East Lothian, Scotland, killed in action.1
     He succeeded as the 2nd Lord Elphinstone [S., 1510] on 9 September 1513.1 He fought in the Battle of Pinkie on 10 September 1547.1

     Hon. Georgiana Mary Anne Kinnaird was the daughter of George Kinnaird, 7th Lord Kinnaird and Elizabeth Ransom.1,2 She married Admiral Sir George Hope-Vere, son of Hon. Charles Hope-Vere and Helen Dunbar, in 1814.1 She died on 16 December 1848.1
     From 1814, her married name became Hope-Vere.1
