Lady Gertrude Julia Georgina Boyle1

     Lady Gertrude Julia Georgina Boyle was born on 15 November 1861.2 She was the daughter of George Frederick Boyle, 6th Earl of Glasgow and Hon. Monatgue Abercromby.2 She married Lt.-Col. Thomas Horatio Arthur Ernest Cochrane, 1st Baron Cochrane of Cults, son of Thomas Barnes Cochrane, 11th Earl of Dundonald and Louisa Harriet Mackinnon, on 2 December 1880.2 She died on 12 December 1950 at age 89.2
     Her married name became Cochrane. After her marriage, Lady Gertrude Julia Georgina Boyle was styled as Baroness Cochrane of Cults on 16 May 1919. She was appointed Officer, Order of the British Empire (O.B.E.) in 1920.2

     George Frederick Boyle, 6th Earl of Glasgow was born on 9 October 1825.2 He was the son of George Boyle, 4th Earl of Glasgow and Julia Sinclair.1,2 He married Hon. Monatgue Abercromby, daughter of George Ralph Abercromby, 3rd Baron Abercromby of Aboukir and Tullibody and Louisa Penuel Forbes, on 29 April 1856.3 He died on 23 April 1890 at age 64, without male issue.1
     He succeeded as the 6th Lord Boyle, of Kelburn, Stewartoun, Finnick, Largs and Dalry [S., 1699] on 11 March 1869.2 He succeeded as the 6th Earl of Glasgow [S., 1703] on 11 March 1869.2 He succeeded as the 3rd Baron Ross of Hawkhead, co. Renfrew [U.K., 1815] on 11 March 1869.1 He succeeded as the 6th Viscount Kelburn [S., 1703] on 11 March 1869.2 He succeeded as the 6th Lord Boyle, of Stewartoun, Cumbraes, Fenwick, Largs and Dalry [S., 1703] on 11 March 1869.2 He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) of Renfrewshire.2 He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) of Fife.2 He held the office of Lord Clerk Register of Scotland.2 On his death, his UK barony became extinct.1

     Richard Anthony Fuller Maitland was born in 1857.2 He was the son of Thomas Fuller Maitland and Anna Stevens Valpy.2 He married Hon. Adelaide Laura Cubitt, daughter of George Cubitt, 1st Baron Ashcombe and Laura Joyce, on 4 October 1883.1 He died on 24 January 1919.1

     Hon. Mildred Sophia Cubitt was the daughter of George Cubitt, 1st Baron Ashcombe and Laura Joyce.1 She married George William Tallents on 4 October 1883.1 She died on 9 March 1930, leaving issue.1
     From 4 October 1883, her married name became Tallents.1

     Christina Bethune was the daughter of Sir John Bethune, 2nd of Creich and Janet Hay.1,2 She married Michael Balfour, 4th of Burleigh, son of David Balfour of Burleigh and Agnes Forrester, before 27 April 1545.1,2
     She was also known as Christian.1 From before 27 April 1545, her married name became Balfour.1

     James Douglas, 5th Earl of Buchan was born circa 1580.2 He was the son of Robert Douglas, 4th Earl of Buchan and Christian Stewart, Countess of Buchan.1 He married Margaret Ogilvy, daughter of Walter Ogilvy, 1st Lord Ogilvy of Deskford and Lady Mary Douglas, in 1598.1 He died on 26 August 1601.1 He was buried at Auchterhouse, Angus, ScotlandG.2
     He succeeded as the 5th Lord Auchterhouse [S., 1469] on 20 September 1580.1 He succeeded as the 5th Earl of Buchan [S., 1469] on 20 September 1580.1

     Margaret Ogilvy was the daughter of Walter Ogilvy, 1st Lord Ogilvy of Deskford and Lady Mary Douglas.1,2 She married, firstly, James Douglas, 5th Earl of Buchan, son of Robert Douglas, 4th Earl of Buchan and Christian Stewart, Countess of Buchan, in 1598.1 She married, secondly, Andrew Gray, 7th Lord Gray, son of Patrick Gray, 6th Lord Gray and Lady Mary Stewart, circa 3 December 1608.1,2 She died after 22 February 1613/14.2
     She was also known as Anne.2 From 1598, her married name became Douglas. After her marriage, Margaret Ogilvy was styled as Countess of Buchan in 1598. From circa 3 December 1608, her married name became Gray.1

     George William Tallents married Hon. Mildred Sophia Cubitt, daughter of George Cubitt, 1st Baron Ashcombe and Laura Joyce, on 4 October 1883.1 He died on 17 December 1924.1
     He was a barrister.1 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.)1 He graduated from Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, EnglandG, with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)1

Andrew Gray, 7th Lord Gray1

     Andrew Gray, 7th Lord Gray was the son of Patrick Gray, 6th Lord Gray and Lady Mary Stewart.2 He married, firstly, Margaret Ogilvy, daughter of Walter Ogilvy, 1st Lord Ogilvy of Deskford and Lady Mary Douglas, circa 3 December 1608.3,1 He married, secondly, Mary Guldeford, daughter of Sir John Guldeford, in February 1627/28.2 He married, thirdly, Catherine Cadell before 1639.2 He died in 1663, without surviving male issue.1
     He made over the Hereditary Sheriffship of Forfarshire to the Crown for 50,000 marks, although this was never paid.2 He succeeded as the 7th Lord Gray [S., 1445] on 4 September 1611.2 He was Lieutenant of the Scots Gendarmes in France between 1624 and 1654.2 On 8 January 1637/38 he obtained a regrant of his titles, with the same precendence as before, but with a special remainder to his son-in-law and cousin, William Gray and failing that, to William's father, Sir William Gray of Pittendrum.2 In 1649 he was excommunicated by the Scottish Assembly, as a Roman Catholic.2 He has an extensive biographical entry in the Dictionary of National Biography.4

Patrick Gray, Master of Gray

     Patrick Gray, Master of Gray was the son of Andrew Gray, 1st Lord Gray and Elizabeth Wemyss. He married, firstly, Margaret Fleming, daughter of Sir Malcolm Fleming of Biggar and Cumbernauld and Lady Elizabeth Stewart, before 7 February 1439/40.1 He married, secondly, Annabella Forbes, daughter of Alexander Forbes, 1st Lord Forbes and Lady Elizabeth Douglas, before 1445.1 He died between 23 August 1463 and September 1464.1
     He was styled as Master of Gray.1
