     He was appointed Queen's Counsel (Q.C.) [Ontario] in November 1885.¹ He held the office of Mayor of London, Ontario in 1886.¹ He was a judge in 1887.¹

     Katherine M. Campbell was born on 4 December 1849.¹ She was the daughter of Duncan Campbell.¹ She married Henry Becher, son of Henry Corry Rowley Becher and Sarah Evanson Leonard.¹ She died on 2 February 1940 at age 90.¹
     Her married name became Becher.¹
