Mary Pomeroy was born on 19 March 1757.1 She was the daughter of Arthur Pomeroy, 1st Viscount Harberton and Mary Colley.2 She married Sir John Craven Carden, 1st Bt., son of John Carden and Elizabeth Craven, on 23 January 1776.3 She died on 28 September 1778 at age 21.3

Arthur Pomeroy, 1st Viscount Harberton was born on 16 January 1723 at Cork, County Cork, IrelandG.2 He was the son of Venerable John Pomerey and Elizabeth Donellan.3 He married Mary Colley, daughter of Henry Colley and Lady Mary Hamilton, on 20 October 1747 at County Kildare, IrelandG.1 He died on 9 April 1798 at age 75 at Kildare Street, Dublin, County Dublin, IrelandG.2
He graduated from Trinity College, Dublin University, Dublin, County Dublin, IrelandG, with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)4 He held the office of High Sheriff of County Kildare in 1752.4 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for County Kildare between 1761 and 1783.4 He was created 1st Baron Harberton of Carbery, co. Anne Quin was the daughter of Henry Quin and Anne Monck.2,3 She married, firstly, Charles Stanley Monck, 1st Viscount Monck of Ballytrammon, son of Thomas Monck and Judith Mason, in 1784.3 She married, secondly, Sir John Craven Carden, 1st Bt., son of John Carden and Elizabeth Craven, between 1802 and 1811.4 She died on 20 December 1823.1
Her married name became Monck. After her marriage, Anne Quin was styled as Baroness Monck of Ballytrammon on 23 November 1797. After her marriage, Anne Quin was styled as Viscountess Monck of Ballytrammon on 5 January 1801.4 From between 1802 and 1811, her married name became Carden.1
