Major Frederick Marcus Oliphant was born on 10 March 1885.1 He was the son of Reverend Frederick James Oliphant and Constance Beresford.1 He married Maud D'Oyly Hammersley, daughter of Lt.-Col. Alfred St. George Hammersley, in 1923.1 He and Maud D'Oyly Hammersley were divorced in 1940.1

Dorothy Constance Oliphant was born on 13 August 1887.1 She was the daughter of Reverend Frederick James Oliphant and Constance Beresford.1 She married Major William Mainwaring-Burton, son of William Fitzwilliam Burton and Georgina Spencer Wellesley, on 2 June 1912.1 She was also reported to have been married on 2 July 1912.2 She died on 24 March 1964 at age 76.1
