     Lieutenant Henry Blennerhassett was the son of Captain Thomas Blennerhassett and Mary Blennerhassett.1 He died shortly after his arrival in VenezuelaG before 26 September 1819.1
     He gained the rank of Lieutenant in the 1st Rifles, Devereux's Irish Legion.1 He emigrated to VenezuelaG arriving on 1819.1 He fought in the South American War of Liberation, under Bolivar.1
