     John Ward, 1st Viscount Dudley and Ward of Dudley was born on 6 March 1704. He was the son of William Ward and Mary Grey.1 He married, firstly, Anna Maria Bourchier, daughter of Charles Bourchier, on 26 December 1723.1 He married, secondly, Mary Carver, daughter of John Carver, on 1 January 1744/45.1 He died on 6 May 1774 at age 70.1
     He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Newcastle-under-Lyme between 1727 and 1734.1 He succeeded as the 6th Baron Ward of Birmingham, co. Warwick [E., 1644] on 20 May 1740.1 He was created 1st Viscount Dudley and Ward of Dudley, co. Worcester [Great Britain] on 21 April 1763.1

     John Ward, 2nd Viscount Dudley and Ward of Dudley was born on 22 February 1724/25.1 He was the son of John Ward, 1st Viscount Dudley and Ward of Dudley and Anna Maria Bourchier.1 He married Mary Fair, daughter of Gamaliel Fair, on 15 July 1788.1 He died on 10 October 1788 at age 63, without issue.1
     He graduated from Oriel College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, EnglandG, with a Master of Arts (M.A.)1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) (Tory) for Marlborough between 1754 and 1761.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) (Tory) for Worcester.1 He succeeded as the 2nd Viscount Dudley and Ward of Dudley, co. Worcester [G.B., 1763] on 6 May 1774.1 He succeeded as the 7th Baron Ward of Birmingham, co. Warwick [E., 1644] on 6 May 1774.1 He was awarded the honorary degree of Doctor of Law (LL.D.) by Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, EnglandG.1

     William Ward, 3rd Viscount Dudley and Ward of Dudley was born on 21 January 1750.1 He was the son of John Ward, 1st Viscount Dudley and Ward of Dudley and Mary Carver.1 He married Julia Bosville, daughter of Godfrey Bosville, on 1 August 1780.1 He died on 25 April 1823 at age 73.1
     He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, EnglandG.1 He was educated at Oriel College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, EnglandG.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) (Tory) for Worcester between 1780 and 1788.1 He succeeded as the 3rd Viscount Dudley and Ward of Dudley, co. Worcester [G.B., 1763] on 10 October 1788.1 He succeeded as the 8th Baron Ward of Birmingham, co. Warwick [E., 1644] on 10 October 1788.1
