Anne Moray is the daughter of Robert Moray, 8th of Abercairny and Catherine Murray.2,3 She married William Moncreiffe, 11th of that Ilk, son of William Moncreiffe of that Ilk, younger and Jean Oliphant, in 1586.1

Reverend Archibald Moncreiffe was the son of William Moncreiffe of that Ilk, younger and Jean Oliphant.2 He married Margaret Auchinleck, daughter of William Auchinleck of Balmanno.1 He died in 1633.1
He graduated from St. Andrews University, St. Andrews, Fife, Scotland, on 21 March 1580 with a Master of Arts (M.A.)3 He was Minister of Abernethy in 1586.1 He was hereditary Prior of Elcho in 1600.1 In 1610 he exchanged the hereditary Prior of Elcho for the old Moncreiffe estate of Balgony.2 In 1611 he acquired the lands of Balgony from his brother-in-law, David Murray.3 He was ancestor of the Barons Moncreiff.1

Sir John Moncreiffe was the son of William Moncreiffe of that Ilk, younger and Jean Oliphant.2 He married Jean Spens, daughter of John Spens of Condie and Jean Arnott, before September 1591.1 He died after November 1635.1
He held the office of Sheriff Depute of Perthshire.1 He was a practising Advocate.1 He was also known as Sir John Moncreiff of Easter Moncreiff.3 In 1592 Easter Moncreiffe was erected into a free Barony for him, giving its lairds the same powers of life and death as those already held by the Lairds of Moncreiffe.1
