Sir Philip Duncombe Pauncefort-Duncombe, 1st Bt. was born on 8 January 1818.1 He was the son of Philip Duncombe Pauncefort-Duncombe and Lady Alicia Margaretta Hockmore Lambart.1 He married Sophia Caroline Maunsell, daughter of Thomas Philip Maunsell and Hon. Caroline Elizabeth Cokayne, on 1 May 1844.2 He died on 13 June 1890 at age 72.2
