Henry Bathurst, 2nd Earl Bathurst of Bathurst was born on 20 May 1714 at St. James's, Westminster, London, EnglandG.1 He was the son of Allen Bathurst, 1st Earl Bathurst of Bathurst and Catherine Apsley.1 He married, firstly, Anne James on 19 September 1754.2 He married, secondly, Tryphena Scawen, daughter of Thomas Scawen and Tryphena Russell, on 14 June 1759 at Maidwell, Northamptonshire, EnglandG.2 He died on 6 August 1794 at age 80 at Oakley Grove, Gloucestershire, EnglandG.2 He was buried at Cirencester, Gloucestershire, EnglandG.2
He matriculated at Balliol College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, EnglandG, on 14 May 1730.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.)
