     Bertha Maximiliana Baroness Zois-Edelstein was born on 22 December 1859.2 She was the daughter of Alfonz Baron Zois and Bertha Moro.1,2 She married William Charles Heaton-Armstrong, son of Lieutenant John Heaton-Armstrong and Josephine Thérèse Mayr-Melnhof, on 7 September 1885 at Veldes, AustriaG.1,3 She died on 10 December 1949 at age 89.1
     From 7 September 1885, her married name became Heaton-Armstrong.1

     Major William Duncan Francis Heaton-Armstrong was born on 29 September 1886 at Veldes, AustriaG.1,2 He was the son of William Charles Heaton-Armstrong and Bertha Maximiliana Baroness Zois-Edelstein.1 He married Thelma Eileen Scott, daughter of Hon. Robert Steele Scott, on 29 December 1920.1 He died on 1 May 1969 at age 82.1
     He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, EnglandG.1 He was educated at Trinity College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, EnglandG.1 He fought in the First World War, he was mentioned in despatches.1 In 1914 seconded under the Foreign Office, assigned to be the Private Secretary and Aide-de-Camp for Prince William of Albania.1 He gained the rank of Captain in 1914 in the Albanian Army.1 He was interned in Germany between 1914 and 1916, he was released on exchange and mentioned in despatches.1 He succeeded as the Lord of the Manor of Roscrea [feudal baron] in 1917.3 He was the Gold Staff Officer at the Coronations in 1937 and in 1953.1 He gained the rank of Major in the 3rd Battalion Lancaster Fusiliers.1

     Suzanne Laura de Balan was the daughter of Etienne Desire Frederic Bechet de Balan.1 She married, firstly, John Robert Gobertus Whitehead, son of John Whitehead.1 She married, secondly, Sir John Dunamace Heaton-Armstrong, son of William Charles Heaton-Armstrong and Bertha Maximiliana Baroness Zois-Edelstein, on 21 June 1919.1 She died on 28 February 1972.1
     Her married name became Whitehead.1 From 21 June 1919, her married name became Heaton-Armstrong.1
