Frances Elizabeth Wilson1

     Frances Elizabeth Wilson was the daughter of Captain Christopher Wilson.1 She married, firstly, Colonel Sir Michael McCreagh.1 She married, secondly, William Jones Armstrong, son of Reverend William Jones Armstrong and Margaret Tew, on 3 February 1842.1 She died in September 1894.1
     Her married name became McCreagh.1 From 3 February 1842, her married name became Armstrong.1

     Colonel Sir Michael McCreagh married Frances Elizabeth Wilson, daughter of Captain Christopher Wilson.1 He died before 3 February 1842, when his widow remarried.1
     He was appointed Companion, Order of the Bath (C.B.)1 He was appointed Knight Commander, Hanoverian Order (K.C.H.)1

     Lieutenant William Fortescue Armstrong was born on 28 January 1843.1 He was the son of William Jones Armstrong and Frances Elizabeth Wilson.1 He died on 2 May 1871 at age 28, unmarried.1
     He was educated at Royal School Armagh, Armagh, County Armagh, IrelandG.1 He was educated at Royal Military College, Sandhurst, Berkshire, EnglandG.1 He gained the rank of Lieutenant in the 7th Hussars.1

     Rt. Hon. Henry Bruce Armstrong was born on 27 July 1844.1 He was the son of William Jones Armstrong and Frances Elizabeth Wilson.1 He married Margaret Leader, daughter of William Leader, on 14 November 1883.1 He died on 4 December 1943 at age 99.2
     He was educated at Royal School Armagh, Armagh, County Armagh, IrelandG.1 He was admitted to Inner Temple in 1868 entitled to practise as a Barrister-at-law.1 He graduated from Trinity College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, EnglandG, in 1870 with a Master of Arts (M.A.)1 He held the office of High Sheriff of County Longford in 1874.1 He held the office of High Sheriff of County Armagh in 1875.1 He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) of County Armagh in 1880.1 He held the office of Member of the Armagh County Councillor between 1899 and 1924, he was the Chairman from 1909-1920.1 He held the office of Member of the Irish Convention between 1917 and 1918.1 He held the office of Vice-Lord-Lieutenant of County Armagh between 1920 and 1924.1 He held the office of Senator of Queen's University, Belfast between 1920 and 1936.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Mid-Armagh between 1921 and 1922.1 He held the office of Senator [Northern Ireland] between 1921 and 1937.1 He held the office of Lord-Lieutenant of County Armagh between 1924 and 1938.1 He was appointed Privy Counsellor (P.C.)      Margaret Leader was the daughter of William Leader.1 She married Rt. Hon. Henry Bruce Armstrong, son of William Jones Armstrong and Frances Elizabeth Wilson, on 14 November 1883.1 She died on 2 May 1936.1
     From 14 November 1883, her married name became Armstrong.1 She held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for County Armagh.1

     Major William Fortescue Armstrong was born on 13 August 1885 at London, EnglandG.1,2 He was the son of Rt. Hon. Henry Bruce Armstrong and Margaret Leader.1 He married Madeleine Marthe Émilie Marie Toucas, daughter of Marie Joseph Georges Ferdinand Toucas and Claire Antoinette Euphrasie Massillon, on 25 October 1920 at London, EnglandG.1,2 He died on 13 April 1928 at age 42, killed while steeple chasing.1 He died, killed while steeple-chasing.3
     He was also known as unknown Armstrong.3 He was educated at Charterhouse School, Godalming, Surrey, EnglandG.1 He was educated at Royal Military Academy, Woolwich, Kent, EnglandG.1 He fought in the First World War, mentioned in despatches four times.1 In 1915 Major William Fortescue Armstrong was decorated with the Military Cross (M.C.), (and bar (1917.)1) He gained the rank of Major in the Royal Artillery.1 He was appointed Distinguished Service Order (D.S.O.) in 1918.1

     Henry Maxwell Armstrong was born on 12 February 1891.1 He was the son of Rt. Hon. Henry Bruce Armstrong and Margaret Leader.1 He married Frances Maude Smith, daughter of Gilbert Joshua Smith and Edith Charlotte Anderson-Pelham, on 8 April 1923.2 He died on 13 August 1972 at age 81, without issue.1
     He was educated at Charterhouse School, Godalming, Surrey, EnglandG.1 He was educated at Magdalene College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, EnglandG.1 He fought in the First World War, with the Canadian Field Artillery.1 He lived at The Anchorage, Bursledon, Hampshire, EnglandG.1
