     Reverend James Haldane Stewart was born in 1778 at Boston, Massachusetts, U.S.A.G.1 He was the son of Duncan Stewart, 6th of Ardsheal and Anne Erving.1 He married Mary Dale, daughter of David Dale.1 He died on 22 October 1854.1
     He was educated at Dr. Valpy's School, Reading, Berkshire, EnglandG.1 He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, EnglandG.1 He was admitted to Lincoln's Inn.1 He matriculated at Exeter College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, EnglandG, in 1803.1 He graduated from Exeter College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, EnglandG, in 1806 with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)1 He graduated from Exeter College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, EnglandG, in 1810 with a Master of Arts (M.A.)1 He wrote the book Hints for the General Union of Christians for the Outpouring of the Spirit, published 1820.1 He was a minister between 1830 and 1846 at Liverpool, Lancashire, EnglandG.1 He was the Rector at Limpfield, Surrey, EnglandG.1
