Michael Edward Ranulph Allsopp was born on 9 October 1930.2 He was the son of Samuel Ranulph Allsopp and Hon. Norah Hyacinthe Littleton.2 He married Patricia Ann Berners, daughter of Geoffrey Hugh Berners and Betty Jane Gordon, on 16 July 1953.2 He died on 30 April 2017 at age 86.3
He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, EnglandG.2 He gained the rank of Captain in the Royal Wiltshire Yeomanry.2 He was chairman of the London Discount Market Association between 1974 and 1976.2 He was chairman of Allied Dunbar and Company Ltd between 1979 and 1986.2 He lived in 2003 at Little Coxwell Grove, Faringdon, Oxfordshire, EnglandG.2
