Robert Low Bacon was born on 23 July 1884 at Jamaica Plains, Boston, Massachusetts, U.S.A.G.2 He was the son of Colonel Robert Bacon.2 He married Virginia Murray, daughter of Henry Alexander Murray and Fanny Morris Babcock, in 1913.1 He died on 12 September 1938 at age 54 at Lake Succcess, Nassau County, New York, U.S.A.G.1,2
He graduated from Harvard University, Cambridge, Massachusetts, U.S.A.G, in 1907 with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)2 He graduated from Harvard Law School, Harvard University, Cambridge, Massachusetts, U.S.A.G, in 1910.2 He was with the U.S. Treasury Department between 1910 and 1911.2 He was a banker between 1911 and 1922 at New York City, New York, U.S.A.G.2 He fought in the First World War between 1917 and 1919.2 He was awarded the Distinguished Service Medal (D.S.M.)
