     James Alexander Pountney Coats was born on 31 December 1927.1 He was the son of Ian Pountney Coats and Hilda May Latta.2 He married Sarah Margaret Pizey, daughter of Admiral Sir Mark Pizey and Phyllis May D'Angibau, on 26 August 1961.1 He died in 1993.3
     He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Commander in the Royal Navy.1

     Admiral Sir Mark Pizey was born on 17 June 1899.2 He was the son of Charles Edward Pizey and Geraldine Fowle.3 He married Phyllis May D'Angibau on 7 July 1928.3 He died on 17 May 1993 at age 93 at Burnham-on-Sea, Somerset, England.2
     He fought in the First World War.2 He gained the rank of Midshipman between 1916 and 1918 in the Royal Navy, on board H.M.S. Revenge.2 He gained the rank of Lieutenant in 1920.2 He fought in the Second World War.2 He gained the rank of Captain in 1940, H.M.S. Campbell.2 He was awarded the Distinguished Service Order (D.S.O.) in 1942.1 He was appointed Companion, Order of the Bath (C.B.)1 He gained the rank of Rear-Admiral in 1948.2 He was Flag Office Commanding of the First Cruiser Squadron between 1950 and 1951.2 He fought in the Vice-Admiral in 1951.2 He was Chief of Staff and Commander-in-Chief of the Indian Navy between 1951 and 1955.2 He was appointed Knight Commander, Order of the British Empire (K.B.E.) in 1953.2 He gained the rank of Admiral in 1954.2 He was Commander-in-Chief of the Portsmouth between 1955 and 1958.2 He was appointed Knight Grand Cross, Order of the British Empire (G.B.E.) in 1957.1 He lived at Abbots Barton, Seavington, Somerset, EnglandG.1

     From 26 August 1961, her married name became Coats. She lived in 2003 at Gorten Lodge, Carse, Tarbert, Argyllshire, ScotlandG.1

     Sir Hugh Campbell Byatt was born on 27 August 1927.2 He was the son of Sir Horace Archer Byatt and Olga Margaret Campbell.2 He married Fiona Mary Mackenzie Coats, daughter of Ian Pountney Coats and Hilda May Latta, on 19 June 1954.1 He died on 16 February 2011 at age 83.3
     He was educated at Gordonstoun School, Elgin, Morayshire, Scotland.2 He gained the rank of Sub-Lieutenant between 1945 and 1948 in the Royal Navy.2 He graduated from New College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England, with a Master of Arts (M.A.)2 He was with HM Diplomatic Service between 1952 and 1986.2 He was Consul-General to Mozambique between 1971 and 1973.2 He held the office of Ambassador to Angola between 1978 and 1981.2 He was appointed Companion, Order of St. Michael and St. George (C.M.G.) in 1979.1 He held the office of Ambassador to São Tomé between 1980 and 1981.2 He held the office of Ambassador to Portugal between 1981 and 1986.2 He was appointed Knight Commander, Royal Victorian Order (K.C.V.O.) in 1985.1 He was Advisor to RTZ between 1986 and 1996.2
