Sir Lawrence Esmonde, 2nd Bt. was born in 1634.2 He was the son of Sir Thomas Esmonde, 1st Bt. and Ellice Fitzgerald.3 He married, firstly, Lucia Butler, daughter of Colonel Hon. Richard Butler.2 He married, secondly, Lucy Cavanagh, daughter of Colonel Charles Cavanagh.2 He died on 22 October 1688.2
He succeeded as the 2nd Baronet Esmonde, of Ballynastragh, co. Wexford [I., 1629] in 1674.2 He lived at Huntington Castle, Clonegall, County Carlow, IrelandG.1
