Sir Christopher Robert Lighton, 7th Bt. was born on 4 July 1848.2 He was the son of Reverend Sir Christopher Robert Lighton, 6th Bt. and Mary Anne Elizabeth Ram.3 He married Helen Frances Houldsworth, daughter of James Houldsworth, on 6 April 1880.2 He died in 1929.1
He was educated at Repton School, Repton, Derbyshire, England.2 He graduated from Trinity College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England, in 1870 with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)2 He was a practising barrister in 1874.2 He succeeded as the 7th Baronet Lighton, of Merville, co. Dublin [I., 1791] on 12 April 1875.2 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Herefordshire.2 He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) of Herefordshire.2 He held the office of High Sheriff of Herefordshire in 1885.2
