Sir James Herbert Hamilton Colyer-Fergusson, 4th Bt. was born on 10 January 1917.1 He was the son of Max Christian Hamilton Colyer-Fergusson and Edith Jane Miller.2 He died on 9 January 2004 at age 86.3 He was buried at St. Margaret Churchyard, Cobham, Gravesham, Kent, England.3
He was educated at Harrow School, Harrow, London, EnglandG.1 He graduated from Balliol College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, EnglandG, in 1939 with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)1 He fought in the Second World War, and was a POW (1940-45.)1 He gained the rank of Captain in the The Buffs.1 He graduated from Balliol College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, EnglandG, in 1945 with a Master of Arts (M.A.)1 He was with the traffic department of the Great Western Railway.3 He succeeded as the 4th Baronet Fergusson, of Spitalhaugh, co.
