     From 15 February 1939, her married name became Lee Steere.1 She held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.)1

     F/O Charles Augustus Lee Steere was born in 1910 at Perth, Western Australia, Australia.2 He was the son of Sir Ernest Augustus Lee Steere.3 He married Patience Hargreaves Pigott-Brown, daughter of Captain Gordon Hargreaves Brown and Editha Ivy Pigott, on 15 February 1939.1 He died on 27 May 1940, killed in action over Dunkirk.1
     He fought in the Second World War.1 He gained the rank of Flying Officer in the Auxiliary Air Force.1
