Major John Stewart Lindsay-MacDougall was born on 28 February 1911.1 He was the son of Francis Howard Lindsay and Helen Margaret MacDougall.1 He married Sheila Marion Roma Sprot, daughter of Captain James William Lennox Sprot and Romer Louise Hunter Bishop, on 4 September 1934.1 He died on 5 August 1943 at age 32 at ItalyG, while in enemy hands, from wounds received in action.1
