Sir Edward Grimston1

     Sir Edward Grimston was the son of unknown Grimston.2 He died, aged 92.2
     He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Ipswich.2 He was appointed Privy Counsellor (P.C.)2 He held the office of Comptroller of Calais between 1552 and 1558.1 He was held in the Bastille for 19 months after the capture of Calais by the French. He escaped by sawing through the window bars with a file and knotting sheets to reach the ground.2

     John Erskine, 4th of Dun was the son of John Erskine, 3rd of Dun and Mariota Graham.2,3 He married Katherine Monypenny.3 He died on 9 September 1513 at Flodden Field, Northumberland, England, killed in action.2
     He fought in the Battle of Flodden Field on 9 September 1513.3
