John Cator was born on 24 September 1862.2 He was the son of Albemarle Cator and Mary Molesworth Cordelia Mohun-Harris.3 He married Maud Adeane, daughter of Henry John Adeane and Lady Elizabeth Philippa Yorke, on 7 October 1895.1 He died on 27 April 1944 at age 81.1
