     Eleanor Hobhouse was the daughter of Rt. Hon. Henry Hobhouse and Harriet Turton.1 She died in 1842, unmarried.1

     Mary Farrer was the daughter of Thomas Farrer and Cecilia Willis.1 She married Arthur Hobhouse, 1st and last Baron Hobhouse, son of Rt. Hon. Henry Hobhouse and Harriet Turton, on 10 August 1848.1 She died in 1905.2
     From 10 August 1848, her married name became Hobhouse.1 After her marriage, Mary Farrer was styled as Baroness Hobhouse on 2 July 1885.

     Thomas Farrer was born on 16 December 1787.2 He was the son of James Farrer and Frances Loxham.2 He married Cecilia Willis, daughter of Richard Willis, on 18 September 1816.2 He died on 23 September 1833 at age 45.2

     Angus Holden, 1st Baron Holden was born on 16 March 1833.1 He was the son of Sir Isaac Holden, 1st Bt. and Marion Love.1 He married Margaret Illingworth, daughter of Daniel Illingworth, on 23 May 1860.2 He died on 25 March 1912 at age 79.1
     He held the office of Mayor of Bradford between 1878 and 1880.2 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for East Bradford between 1885 and 1886.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for the East Riding of Yorkshire, Buckrose Division between 1892 and 1900.1 He succeeded as the 2nd Baronet Holden, of Oakworth House, Keighley, co. York [U.K., 1893] on 13 August 1897.1 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Bradford.2 He was created 1st Baron Holden, of Alston, co. Cumberland [U.K.] on 4 July 1908.1
