Sophia Campbell was the daughter of Frederick William Campbell.1 She married Peter Robert Burrell, 4th Baron Gwydyr, son of Hon. Lindsey Merrick Peter Burrell and Frances Daniell, on 10 December 1840.1 She died on 14 March 1843.1

Willoughby Merrik Campbell Burrell, 5th Baron Gywdyr was born on 26 October 1841.1 He was the son of Peter Robert Burrell, 4th Baron Gwydyr and Sophia Campbell.1 He married, firstly, Mary Bankes, daughter of Sir Thomas Bankes, on 4 September 1873.1 He married, secondly, Anne Ord, daughter of John Ord, on 4 June 1901.1 He died on 13 February 1915 at age 73.1
He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, England.2 He gained the rank of Captain in the Rifle Brigade.1 He was appointed Fellow, Royal Geographical Society (F.R.G.S.)1 He gained the rank of Honorary Colonel in the 4th Battalion, Suffolk Regiment.1 He gained the title of 6th Baronet Burrell, of West Grinstead Park, co. Sussex [G.B., 1766] on 3 April 1909. He succeeded as the 5th Baron Gwydyr, of Gwydr, co. Carnarvon [G.B., 1796] on 3 April 1909.1 On his death his titles expired.2
