Alfred Francis Algernon Hanbury-Tracy was born on 13 October 1846 at Montgomeryshire, WalesG.1 He was the son of Thomas Charles Hanbury-Tracy, 2nd Baron Sudeley of Toddington and Emma Elizabeth Alicia Dawkins-Pennant.1 He married, firstly, Agnes Jane Hoare, daughter of Henry James Hoare and Jane Seymore Trehame Seymour, on 21 April 1868 at St. John's Church, Torquay, Devon, England.1 He married, secondly, Evelyn Margaret Haselfoot, daughter of Frederick K. H. Haselfoot, on 16 February 1928.2 He died on 31 January 1929 at age 82.2
