     Henri de Bourbon, Duc de Verneuil was born illegitimately on 3 November 1601 at Château de Verneuil, EureG.1 He was the son of Henri IV, Roi de France and Catherine Henriette de Balzac, Marquise de Verneuil.1 He married Charlotte Séguier, daughter of Pierre Séguier, Duc de Villemer, on 29 October 1668 at Paris, FranceG.1 He died on 28 May 1682 at age 80 at Château de Verneuil, EureG, without issue.1
     He gained the title of Duc de Verneuil.1 In January 1603 his birth was legitimised.3 He held the office of Bishop of Metz between 19 April 1612 and 1652.3

     From before 1668, her married name became Béthune.1

     She was also known as Mademoiselle de Verneuil.1 Her birth was legitimised.1
